The s32 twins are compensations for people who want more than what the s12 has to offer and at the same time, holding on to the Wefie camera. (Although coined by Infinix for the s2 pro, “Wefie” isn’t yet an official name for dual selfie camera but it fits)
The only interesting features on the s12 are the wefie (2mp + 5mp) camera and probably the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Others are less attractive.
Sporting a 5.0 inches IPS capacitive touchscreen, offering 195 pixels-per-inch density on 480*854 resolution display, loading Android 7.1, 8gb ROM and 1gb RAM on a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek Processor, and powered by a 2400mAh non removable li-ion battery, I’m not impressed and so, cannot dedicate a full article to the s12.
Well, that’s all the s12 has to offer. Now let’s see what we’re being offered in these twin ‘S’isters… Let’s go 👉👉👉

Here comes the review but feel free to Jump to Full Specs
Display, Storage and Platform
Being a mid range device, the Itel s32 ships with a 5.5 inches HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors
Forget the size, it comes with 267 ppi pixels density and 720*1280 pixels resolution. Not sure of a glass protection but that’s exactly Infinix Hot 4 & 5’s display capacity.
A significant upgrade and much more impressive than the s12’s display.
For the memory aspect, there’s a slight difference ’cause of the LTE version. The s32 LTE comes loaded with 2gb of RAM.
The Itel s32 comes with 1gb RAM for cache storing and multitasking and 16gb for the internal memory. There’s also a dedicated slot with 32gb of sdCard support once the internal storage is exhausted.
Bearing all the functions of this device on their shoulders are the CPU, GPU and the Operating Software.
These Itel twin sisters run on a Cortex-A53 Quad-Core CPU with 1.3 GigaHertz clock speed, MediaTek chipset and Mali GPU.
Like any recent smartphone runing Android, it sports Android 7.1 (nougat), and there’s no talk about an upgrade so don’t expect Oreo on this device.
Since it’s staring squarely at the Hot 5 in the face, I would say it’s a good one from Itel.
Camera and Media
It’s no news that’s this device is created for photography purposes. Not like it’s up to the standards of Tecno’s Camons, but it’s fair.
For selfie lovers, Itel added a 2mp and 8mp lenses as the front camera and also with a soft flash. Pictures are clean and crystal clear.
Want to know why it’s called “Wefie”? These lenses can capture a wider area than a single lens, wide enough to capture everyone inside a car without needing to bring their heads together. Good for group pictures, hence the “We”. groupie is already the word for a lady freaked out by celebrities…
For the rear camera, the Itel s32 features the 8mp lens + led flash combo. Features include Geo-tagging, autofocus, touchfocus and videos are recorded at 30 frames-per-second in 1080p
For the media aspect, we have our Audio player, Video Player, Sound recorder, Video recorder, Photo shooter, Photo editor, FM Radio and 3.5mm jack for headphones.
Great! Next??
Battery and Comms
The Itel s32 features a 3000mAh non-removable Lithium Ion battery, better than the s12’s battery but why didn’t they consider giving it the one inside the Itel p51?
Comms? Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi direct, Hotspot, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, Bluetooth, FM radio, microUSB v2.0, 2G, 3G and 4G(only s2 LTE).
Itel s32 Price in Nigeria
If you’ve used the Infinix Hot 5 or know the Specs, you’ll know that this device beats it with it’s front camera feature and you’d be able to guess the price.
The s32 falls between #33,000 – #40,000 price range while the s32 LTE is between #35,000 – #45,000. The difference is the RAM and 4G network.
Alternative Device
Of course you already know that the Hot 5 is close, but it’s not as recent. More recent ones are Nokia 2 and the spark brothers. You can also Check the itel p51. it’s not so recent though, been around for some months.
