The iPhone Xs Max is the best of 4 smartphones which make up the iPhone X release. Others include the iPhone X which was announced alongside the iPhone 8 twin back in November 2017 and was released a couple of months later. The iPhone Xr and Xs came in-between while the Xs Max came in September 2018.
Based on the fact stated above, it is not a surprise that the Xs Max is more expensive than any other device in the iPhone X devices. The figures are different in each country due to exchange rates but this article focuses on the price of the iPhone Xs Max in Nigeria. First though, let’s see a few information about this phone.
iPhone Xs Max Full Specifications
Apple is a respected brand in every market where they have a share. One of their highly respected line up of product – if not the most respected – is the iPhone series. This product lineup features no other but premium and flagship devices. The iPhone Xs Max is one such flagship.
This device features front and back glass from Gorilla. Not sure of the model but both glasses are surely reinforced with both oleophobic coating to hinder oil smudges and water bonding with them and are scatch resistant. Holding together these stuff to contain everything inside them is a stainless steel frame. Nothing but premium.
The Xs max features a 6.5-inches Super-Retina display from Apple with 1242 x 2688 pixels resolution. The pixel density is 458 and if not for the U-notch at the phone’s top, it’d have been absolutely chinless – or bezel-less if you prefer that term. Sure enough, this phone is water resistant, hence the IP68 certification.
Like many other things found on an iPhone, the Platform on which it operates definitely comes from Apple itself. The OS is none other than the iOS 12 – latest OS during its production – which can now be upgraded up to 13.5, we also have the A12 Bionic chip sporting a Hexa-core (2×2.5 GHz Vortex + 4×1.6 GHz Tempest) CPU and Apple GPU with 4 cores.
In terms of storage there are 3 options with with no other hidden differences, they are:
64GB + 4GB RAM
256GB + 4GB RAM
512GB + 4GB RAM
Unlike other brands, iPhones don’t come inn different RAM amounts, neither do they make use of eMMc, instead, it’s NVMe.
The rear camera setup comprises a 12MP wide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. They’re supported by a quad-LED flash and are capable of shooting 4K videos at 24/30/60fps and 1080p videos at 30/60/120/240fps. The front-facing camera setup is also dual. A 7MP standard lens and an SL 3D depth and bio-metrics sensor.
The Xs max has no radio, features the reversible connector we’re already familiar with, leaves out the 3.5mm jack and a non-removable 3,174 li-Ion battery which charges at lightning speed (hyperbole intended) as it features power delivery 2.0. Let’s not forget the QI wireless charging support and other features which include Face ID, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer and Siri natural language commands and dictation.
This phone is available in 3 colours which are Space Gray, Silver and Gold. That’s all to say about the Xs max. Some details are left out though; those considered unimportant – like the weight.
