Huawei P40 Review, Specs and Price

Announced on 26th of March and set to be released in April, the Huawei P40 will be either a step or multiple steps forward from the Huawei P30. Coming along with the Huawei P40 are the P40 Pro and P40 Pro+. To alleviate all fears, it is worth mentioning here that Huawei has announced that the Covid-19 pandemic will not affect the release of this device.

The Huawei P40 is a sleek and normal weight 6.1″ smartphone weighing a hundred and seventy five (175) grams but still heavier than the P30 (165g). That’s most likely because of the increase in battery and added thickness. It measures 148.9 x 71.1 x 8.5 mm (height, width and thickness respectively) thus, the device remains a slender smartphone that’s easy to handle. Concerning the network, the highest it has to offer is 5G LTE which is also the best network band you can get right now and for next few years, maybe.

It sports a 6.1″ OLED capacitive touchscreen, with 86.3% screen-to-body ratio. With the resolution being 1080 x 2340 at 422 dpi, the P40 renders graphics in crisp bright colours. It runs Android 10.0 (AOSP + HMS); EMUI 10.1 on HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G (7 nm+) chipset coupled with Octa-core (2×2.86 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2×2.36 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU under the hood. This should deliver speed and efficiency. No lagging, even for gaming. In terms of memory, You’re provided with multiple options which include 128GB ROM + 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM + 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM + 8GB RAM . In case you ever exhaust your installed ROM, it supports Nano memory up to 256GB through a shared sim slot.

The camera setup is quite impressive. The rear camera is a trio of 50 + 8 + 16 MPs and the selfie camera is just a single lens of 32MP and a 3D bio-metrics sensor which affords it the luxury of facial recognition as one of the security systems. The fingerprint sensor is fixed under the display. This smartphone is powered by a Non-removable Li-Po 3800 mAh battery supported with the fast charge technology for quick top-ups. Below are the full features of the Huawei P40

Samsung Galaxy S10 Review, Specs and Price

Fri Mar 27 , 2020
The Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ are not “new borns” but neither are they ancestors, yet. Released over a year ago in February 2019, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ are no longer the latest addition to the Galaxy S series and have joined the league of “ancestral fathers” since the […]
